Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis (DTP) Four doses required for children 6 or younger, three doses required for children 7 and under; at least one of those doses must be before the month of the child’s fourth birthday or after age 4. Td (Tetanus-Diptheria) every 10 years after age 4 booster; no pertussis vaccination required after age 5.
Polio Three doses required, and the last dose must be received the month before or during the month of the child’s fourth birthday or after age 4; not required for students 18 or older.
*Measles Two doses required; one dose on or after the first birthday. A second dose of the vaccine is due at age 5 for children born on or after September 2, 1991.
Rubella One dose required on or after the first birthday.
*Mumps One dose required on or after the first birthday.
Tuberculosis skin test with reading Required by the Austin school district. Any time before enrollment is acceptable. Students with positive tests must show proof of evaluation. Tine tests must be read or validated by physician, clinic or school nurse.
Hib Cv (haemophilus influenza type B conjugate vaccine) One dose on or after 15 months for all children up to 5 years old unless a schedule for primary series and boosters was met at 15 months.
Hepatitus B Three doses are required for all students age 5 and older who were born on or after September 2, 1991.
Chickenpox (varicella vaccine) Children born on or after September 2, 1994, must have one dose on or after their first birthday. If the child has had chickenpox, a history must be provided by a parent, guardian or physician.
*Histories of measles and mumps illnesses or a blood test to confirm immunity are acceptable instead of a vaccine, but must be verified by a physician’s statement.

For Williamson County Williamson County and Cities Heath District clinics charge for immunizations on a sliding scale, based on ability to pay, and will give free immunizations to those unable to pay. The clinics are set up specifically to handle immunizations one day a week but can administer shots on any day. The district’s clinics (and immunization days) are:
